Apex uses only the finest components in the construction of all its equipment to ensure years of trouble free performance and safety. To ensure that your investment continues to operate at its best, Apex Fitness Equipment recommends that the following minimum inspection and maintenance schedule is followed.

  • Ensure that all equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safe and optimal function of units.
  • DO NOT use the equipment if any part is missing or damaged.
  • Only qualified equipment technicians should be allowed to perform any adjustments or repairs.

DAILY

  • Clean upholstery using a mild dish soap solution and a soft cloth.
  • Difficult stains may be removed by using a solution of household bleach and water. (5% household bleach and 95% water)
  • Inspect all pull pins, snaps locks and weight pins for wear.

WEEKLY

  • Inspect all belts and cables for wear and proper tension. Make certain that all end fittings are intact and securely tightened. Adjust or replace as required. Pay particular attention to the high stress areas around cams and pulleys. Replace belts and cables at the first signs of wear
  • Inspect and clean all linear guide rods. Clean with a soft dry cloth and apply a thin coat of TFL 50 spray lubricant.
  • Inspect and clean all case hardened guide shafts. Clean with a soft dry cloth and apply a thin coat of TFL 50 spray lubricant.
  • Inspect units for loose, missing and worn parts including all fasteners, clips and pins. Re-tighten as required.
  • Inspect and lube all accessory bars and handles.
  • Check that all Instructional Placards and warning labels are properly posted and legible. Replace all warning labels that are missing or not legible.

MONTHLY

  • Inspect and re-tighten all fasteners, nuts, bolts and clips.
  • Test that each piece of equipment is operating properly. Check for proper belt/cable alignment and tension.
  • Inspect all handles and grips for wear or damage. Replace as required.
  • Clean frames with mild dish soap and water solution. Ensure that frames are thoroughly dried with a clean soft cloth.

  • Only qualified equipment technicians should be allowed to perform any adjustments or repairs.
Please Note: The equipments operational environment including; usage, air quality, humidity and ambient temperature will also impact how often maintenance procedures must be performed.
